Our amazing history with IRONMAN

Our official sponsorship of the 70.3 world championships in St. George, Utah gives us good reason to look back in history and throw a glance at our company’s history with IRONMAN.biestmilch-ironman-l#EE1CA8

Our company is young, but almost from the very beginning of its existence it was linked to IRONMAN.  In 2000 the first container under our own label reached out for a not yet existing market. We was my brother, my friend and I. We had started the company in the beginning of 2000 from scratch with nothing in hand than ideas and visions that should soon be sobered by the icy wind of reality.
At this moment of time triathlon did not mean anything to me. But soon this famous label became an important part our company life. In 2002 the first IRONMAN race took place in Frankfurt, just in front of our company’s door. We had already connected with Lothar Leder, the star of the scene in those days. How this happened is yet the chapter of anther story.
In this race BIESTMILCH.com was printed on his and his wife’s white visor. This was the first time that Biestmilch appeared in an IRONMAN race. Well, one can say that this was truly under the radar. During the coming years we have been part of the triathlon expo circus and presented our Biestmilch products in a collaboration with Lothar’s running store.

A really big step forward we took when Chris McCormack came into my life. We got closer and closer over time, and finally good friends until today. With Chris we started a more solid relation with IRONMAN, in the beginning only in Frankfurt, as European Championships at least one of the major races in this young sport with a very competitive starter field.

In parallel we had ever since shown some presence in Kona, the birthplace of the IRONMAN. Already in 2002 Kailua-Kona was the meet and greet of the sport, small compared to today but regardless not less important for athletes, media and the industry. Biestmilch tattoos – today the market is flooded by those, back then we have been the only ones – unique swim caps and t-shirts helped us building our brand.

Over all these years our relations with IRONMAN got more and more solid. We earned the respect of a small but serious partner who was and is connected with the best athletes of the sport.
Last year it was the first time that we acquired the title of an official sponsor in the 70.3 world championships in Zell am See and Kona.
This is one more proof for our development over all these years. Chris McCormack always encourages me, when I am low and says: „Remember Doctor, 10 years ago you have been an ink spot. And today, you can be proud, you have achieved a lot!! Yes, he is right, and I have to be very grateful to him. He remarkably helped to build the brand.

This year again we are official sponsors of IRONMAN. The first official sponsorship in 2016 are the North American Championships in St. George, Utah. It is the 3rd time that I am in St. George, but first time in an official mission not only watching out for Sebastian Kienle whether he is finally able to win this race.

At this special occasion we want to give you the opportunity to experience the outstanding properties of Biestmilch, a product enriching your diet and your race nutrition. It is especially suiting a tough race course like the one of St. George.

To put it in a nutshell:
IRONMAN stands for “Anything is possible”
BIESTMILCH stands for „Passion for health”

Therefore:
break your routines and
boost your life with passion
