Looking at IRONMAN Frankfurt from another very personal angle
Frankfurt is definitely not everybody's darling. But you can learn to love this peculiar City.

It was definitely a breath-taking event last weekend. With Sebastian Kienle winning the title of a European Champion and Ronnie Schildknecht proving his abilities as warrior 😉 coming in 4th the BIEST couldn’t have had a better exposure on one day. Sebastian and I celebrated our 7th anniversary. 7 years ago he won the night run for us, he was 23. Now he is 30 and the triathlon world has changed with Sebastian, our prince who is on the best way to become the king. But we don’t want to count the chickens before they are hatched 😉 …

Sebastian is taking a few seconds behind the finish line to realise what he had just accomplished.

Ronnie with his ever convincing smile is happy. There is no show in this face at all.

Also Ronnie is since 2008 with BIESTMILCH, and a great advocate for our cause! What is the flair around the BIEST that keeps us together for so long?

I don’t want forget to mention 3 times world champion Sam Gydé from Belgium who wanted to win the title in his age group, 35 – 39. It was not quite his day, he got 3rd. He was a bit unhappy not meeting up with his own expectation. Anyhow, BIESTMILCH is very happy that this charming charismatic athlete became a member of the BIEST athletes’ group. He is part of the gang since 2 years now.

Sam has a smile nobody can resist. Even if the results don't match, he doesn't lose his bright smile.

And last but not least Takahiro Sugano from Japan who fought his way through this race with 3 flats and showed an incredible morale. He taught us from BIESTMILCH how to fold cranes. We spent a very joyful evening with Taka, thanks!

The images I post here are different, and show a very personal view on this event. Photographers are flooding the marketplace of triathlon with quality photos of the stars anyway now. Doesn’t need us to do the same 😉 …

Susann

Susann is the biest prototype and head of the team. She is Austrian, has studied medicine, meaning she is a medical doctor and the Biesters' alpha wolf. Susann continuously produces new ideas, is strong in making concepts and is practically always ON FIRE. Without her BIESTMILCH wouldn't be where and what it is today, and anyway - not possible.
