Andi Boecherer paves his way back into the triathlon elite

For almost 2 years Andi Boecherer had no race appearances anymore. His career had just begun to take off, when he was forced into a compulsory break. It all took its dreadful beginning on the Island of Santa Lucia where Andi out on a bike ride  got hit by car. These are the places where riding a bike is extremely dangerous because people are not used to such vehicles on the road.
Andi was lucky and unlucky at the same time. The physical injuries from the accident healed relatively fast, but the psychological trauma inflicted was severe.

The uncertainty how and whether he will emanate from this deep hit made him struggle. Would he be able at all to pick up his career as an athlete again. The self-doubts didn’t make it any easier to escape the vicious downstream.

Of course, one should not count the chickens before they hatch. But the 2 victories in a row Andi could celebrate recently in Pays d’Aix and St. Pölten indicate that he is on his way back. And if you know Andi Boecherer you will realize an other Andi. He is by far more open, more relaxed and focused at the same time. His body composition changed as a whole, it’s less the power that makes him successful but the flow of his movements.

Hopefully, he can retrieve and show what is in him in the next difficult races like IRONMAN 70.3 Kraichgau and even more difficult IRONMAN Frankfurt with Sebi and Frodo at the starting line.

Would it be wonderful for us to have 2 super strong Biests in the field. By the way, Andi never races without BIEST BOOSTERs an chewable tablets in his pocket.
