Nicole Leder: the Lady of the triathlon sport
How it all started in 2002
Nicole Leder is one of our most loyal companions. Our paths crossed for the first time in 2002 and this is how it all started. Lothar and Nicole both started in the event in Roth. Lothar won, but Nicole had a really bad day.
It was the very first time in fact that Biestmilch set up a promotional stand at a triathlon event. We felt a bit lost as we hardly knew what the sport was all about. Only the name Lothar Leder rang a bell somewhere.

The flying legs of Nicole Leder
Since 2002 Nicole Leder is accompanying us on our triathlon path. Biestmilch is very grateful to her, especially as we were introduced to the scene so rapidly. Due to her exceptional running abilities Nicole won the Callenge Roth triathlon 3 times. Many a time she was far behind on the bike to finally pass her competitors in the run and pass the finishline first.
At the Ironman European Championship 2007 she won the title because of her extraordinary marathon, 2008 she was second behind an unbeatable Chrissie Wellington. After having a tough fight on her bike again, she then run a confident marathon just like one is used to her doing. A typical race à la Nicole Leder. Moreover Nicole is one of the mentally strongest athletes in the field.
Nicole has 13 years old daughter now, who is very understanding when it comes to her working mum. Compared to other female athletes for Nicole it was never possible to only focus on her sport, therefore we admire her performance even more.
