Young star Sebastian Kienle fast, clever and brilliant
Since round about 2 years Sebstian is considered as the young talent of the German triathlon sport. In the beginning he impressed due to his incredible power on the bike. Meanwhile Sebastian became a lot stronger in the other two disciplines, and is on the best way to develop into a balanced athlete. 2009 up to now was a very successful year for Sebastian. He was able retrieve the results of hard training work within the race which was not always the case in the years before.
The Challenge 70.3 race in Kraichgau he won by 10 minutes after Chris McCormack had to drop out because of a flat. Nevertheless he does not want to change to the long distance yet this year. But he wants to qualify for Hawaii 2010 at the Ironman 70.3 in Monaco. The chances are good that he will succeed.
Chris McCormack said about him: »Sebstian is since a long time an athlete that really impresses me.«

And how did get into triathlon?
»During my holidays I drove my grandma to the edge, because I was such a restless child and bored quickly. Luckily, my father found an ad in a newspaper annoucing a triathlon event. He want with there to watch it. I was so fascinated, that already on the next day I turned the horns of my MTB's handle bar around to have handle bar at least similar to those of the triathletes. Adn I started training and I did not stop ever since.
And because of the fact that i did not want to become a basketball player or a handball player 2 weeks later, my father registered in the triathlon club of TV Bretten/Triathlon. There I met Thomas Hellriegel and Holger Lorenz, two of the best triathlets back then. Since then I was hooked and still am.«
