The lamentations came to being from necessity one and a half years ago. As Biestmilch is food – law defines it as a special kind of food – it underlies rules and the requirement to label. It is thus prohibited to circulate it as milk, which underlies the milk act.
Generally speaking, no health- or healing-related statements may be made for food. In addition, the impression of medicine may also not be conveyed. This means a huge amount of handicaps are in our way in our daily work with Biestmilch for us to cope with.
This is the reason why Biestmilch and its purpose remain to be a mystery for many of our visitors. They leave our web pages in a more or less frustrated manner.
The lamentations are an attempt to point out in a charming and discreet way, in what situations one should maybe think of Biestmilch. We are going to publish a new lamentation every month and thus point out the diversity of Biestmilch in a roundabout way.
Milk and Biestmilch: Close relatives yet so far apart
When speaking about milk, then cow's milk is always meant. When speaking of milk from other animals, the animal must be named. Milk is a staple food. It is a highly interesting and complex liquid scientific institutes occupy themselves with. Milk is a raw material. Farming and the food industry couldn't live without it.
Biestmilch (colostrum) however is only available in limited supply. In many countries it is still misjudged and frowned upon. This is because it was disreputable in times of tuberculosis as a carrier. Things have changed a lot since then. Meat inspection and sterilizing procedures have more or less solved this problem.
This elixir of life is still fighting with this reputation, though. But rehabilitation is in full swing. Every day, the experiences gained form the effects it has contribute towards this.
