With consulting from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzmachine.com\/\">Jeff Jarvis<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/amandacongdon.com\/blog\/?page_id=2\">Amanda Congdon<\/a> a set of<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Science Stories<\/span><\/span> was created,<br \/> which they hope will travel widely around the Web&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I came along this paragraph having read a post on Hannes Treichls blog <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hannestreichl.com\/index.php\/infotainmercial\/\">\u00bbAndersDenken\u00ab<\/a> that mentioned Amando Congdon and her <a href=\"http:\/\/www2.dupont.com\/Stories\/en_US\/index.html\">infotainmercials<\/a> for Dupont. I appreciate Amanda from her times at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rocketboom.com\">rocketboom<\/a>, so I had a look. I have to admit I got bored quickly.<\/p>\n<p>But have a look yourself. It is up to you to judge! Is it simply advertising, or is it public relations for science? Is it (faked) popscience to seduce us or is it glorifying or even mystifying science&#8230;?<\/p>\n<p>Well, to my opinion these stories are far too clean. They lack controversy and they lack the trashy side and randomness of science. Aren&#8217;t you bored?<\/p>\n<p>Actually, I wonder if these spots can really make it around the world without getting pushed by exterrestrial (scientific) forces?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chemical giant DuPOnt tried to catch up with web 2.0, and with the trend to bring science to the people.
