They are born into the camp. They don&#8217;t know anything else. It is now 21 years ago that I left Beirut and the camps where I used to work as a physician. In 2000 I was there. A lot had changed in Beirut, nothing had changed in the camps.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/biest-blog.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/09\/10\/summer_camp_preparing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px; float: left;\" title=\"Summer_camp_preparing\" alt=\"Summer_camp_preparing\" src=\"http:\/\/biest-blog.typepad.com\/biest_blog\/images\/2007\/09\/10\/summer_camp_preparing.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"337\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the photo underneath you still see the traces of the civil war, a life without perspective is dreary shining through. Nothing has changed in all these years. I always recall these kids and their no future if I start to get ded up or desperate. We are so damned spoiled, we and our kids.
