Thus, every day is a new challenge to sort out the priorities for the day. Take your time and read at <a href=\"http:\/\/zenhabits.net\/2007\/09\/haiku-productivity-the-fine-art-of-limiting-yourself-to-the-essential\/\">Zenhabits<\/a>, trivial or not, even if one knows about the problem and the tactic in principle, realization can be difficult and in practice it\u2019s hardly ever done. I myself currently experience this problem to stay focused every day: A lot of jobs to do in a small office, crowded with people phoning, talking, chatting &#8230; sounds of various machines etc. etc&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>The key to Haiku Productivity is to limit yourself to an arbitrary but<br \/> small number of things, forcing yourself to focus on the important<br \/> stuff and eliminate all else.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/biest-blog.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/2007\/09\/18\/haiku.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px; float: left;\" title=\"Haiku\" alt=\"Haiku\" src=\"http:\/\/biest-blog.typepad.com\/biest_blog\/images\/2007\/09\/18\/haiku.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"156\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To understand this simple concept, think about the form of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Haiku\">the haiku<\/a><br \/> (the common version, at least): it\u2019s poetry in 17 syllables, with 3<br \/> lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables. The<br \/> point is that the form of the haiku is extremely limited, to a small<br \/> number of lines and syllables.<br \/>What this does is forces the poet to focus on only those words that<br \/> mean the most to the poem. While other forms of poetry can go on for<br \/> pages, haiku are short and compact.
