70.3 IRONMAN\u00ae World Championship 2015, Zell am See, Austria
As an Austrian citizen I could not resist to capture this event a little different from the usual. As I am no race journalists by profession I am free to bring other perspectives, other views of the races I travel to to our audience. Zell am See is a village that is an incarnation of what the visitors would say are the Alps and their people. It\u2019s no doubt scenic a place. And it is without doubt a place that shows the traces of destruction our Alps suffer from a lot.
The lines between well conserved nature and ruthless money making industries are thin. We experienced them both. The race suits the area, that\u2019s not to question. But it still feels as a foreign body there, in a similar way does the Arab culture that appears among the locals, there is harmony and friction at the same time. It will take time until things grow together and mutually inspire each other. Hopefully this development takes place instead of a stalemate on which animosity thrives.<\/p>\n
