One week ago we boarded the plane to the Big Island. Meanwhile so many things have happened that we almost can\u2019t recall our departure. The week was rather intense. Our trip to Southpoint on Tuesday where we have been riding our bikes with and against the wind was extraordinary. It became almost a routine to go there every year. It so incredible to see how this place has changed during the last 2 years from a Savanna-like area to rich green grass meadows with the kettle and horses enjoying the rich fodder, gone are the scarce times when they had to look for each single blade of grass.<\/p>\n

Never ever in the years one could have imagined such green meadows.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The power of the wind at the most Southern point of the Big Island is huge.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Wednesday was shopping day. We collected whatever we might need for our CUBE installation on the IRONMAN expo. From the letterbox, the painting for it, all kind of devices to attach and mark things to make our intentions clear we got everything, so far so good. There is still some brainwork necessary not to overlook any missing links.<\/p>\n

Thursday, yesterday, was the day we went out with dear Ronnie<\/a> on the highway. This time he was on the bike and we used car and legs. It was a wonderful sunny day with strong winds down from beloved Mauna Kea. After a veggie bagel at the Lava Java in Waikoloa Village that was – one may be allowed to say – a kind of rip-off, Ronnie pedaled with the wind in direction Keahole airport. We followed him hopping off and on the car, camera focused on the boy, the wind, the grass, the lava and the dynamics on the Highway.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day we let the mind unwind at the most splendid shoreline of Kalaoa where the turtles were just taking their nap. They ignored us completely, they couldn\u2019t care less.<\/p>\n

Back home our little gecko received us friendly smiling at us from the Big Island map on the kitchen table.<\/p>\n

Our friendly house gecko helps us to keep the kitchen clean.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The evening was lively with Sebastian<\/a> and I discussing politics! The atmosphere was relaxed, everybody being happy with Kjell\u2019s art of cooking.<\/p>\n

Eating and discussing relieves you from worrying.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Maybe only the winds made it so easy for us not to lose the directions within all our sites still under construction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
