It&#8217;s a short and very precise contribution.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sleep<\/strong><br \/>\nIf I wake up 5 to 10 minutes before I set the alarm, it&#8217;s a good sign for my fitness state.<br \/>\nI sleep without any interruptions.<br \/>\nCraving for sweets means that my training session was too hard or too late in the evening.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biestmilch.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/mario-close-upC06445.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7475\" alt=\"mario-close-upC06445\" src=\"https:\/\/www.biestmilch.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/mario-close-upC06445.png\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Muscles<\/strong><br \/>\nSore muscles after getting up, even if I slept 10 hours, are definitely a sign that my training was too hard and my recovery too short.<br \/>\nIf I feel almost like fainting after having been squatting for too long, goes always along with a good fitness.<br \/>\nFlexibility, a good coordination and an overall optimal control of my movements correlate well with the state of fitness.&nbsp;<br \/>\nIf my veins are visible on the stomach and on my legs my weight is perfect and so is my form.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Appetite<\/strong><br \/>\nIf I sleep too little and recovery is insufficient, then I have an extreme craving for sugar.<br \/>\nIf my stress level is high, my craving for sugar is high too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mood<\/strong><br \/>\nLots of stress is accompanied by bad temper and a lack of motivation to train. But it may as well happen that especially then, I feel highly motivated to train.<br \/>\nIf the workload and the recovery are well balanced, I don&#8217;t mind to train in bad weather at all.<br \/>\nIf the recovery time has not been long enough, then I don&#8217;t feel for training in the rain at all.<\/p>\n<p>Mario was one of the first guys I met who immediately understood the potential of <a title=\"Experiences of athletes with Biestmilch\" href=\"http:\/\/biestmilch.com\/books\/book-of-experiences\/biest-athletes-experience\/\">BIESTMILCH<\/a> for athletes as well as for non-athletes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coach and triathlete Mario Schmidt-Wendling is a friend of mine since many many years.
