\"IMG_2008\"<\/a>It became kind of a routine to open the doors of our house in Kona every year for one evening before the race for dear friends and our athletes.<\/p>\n

The house we are currently living in is embedded in the hills beyond the turmoil of Kailua-Kona. It is perfectly suited to receive friends and create a relaxed atmosphere. \u00a0<\/p>\n

As in all the years before Kjell is le Chef of our kitchen. With his incredible calmness he has got everything under control that\u2019s related to food. After the many years we come here, he became known for his delicate cooking, healthy and tasty, the best for athletes before such a big and consuming race. Nobody ever refused an invitation for dinner in our house \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

This year we had guests from the German triathlon magazine. Usually I am always a little bit worried having media in the house. This time all my reservations haven\u2019t been justified. A very decent group of people fitting in perfectly well.<\/p>\n

Last but not least our guest of honor was champion coach Siri Lindley with her friend Rebekah Keat. Amazing women with such warm and open hearts, and a mindset that is meeting with ours by 100%, so encouraging and motivating.<\/p>\n

Yet, another last but not least applies to Herwig Labostella Steiner. He is telling our stories on the Island with such tenderness and sensitivity that cannot get beaten easily. He brilliantly covered the evening despite the dim light.<\/p>\n
