For almost 2 years Andi Boecherer<\/a> had no race appearances anymore. His career had just begun to take off, when he was forced into a compulsory break.\u00a0It all took its dreadful beginning on the Island of Santa Lucia where Andi out on a bike ride \u00a0got hit by car. These are the places where riding a bike is extremely dangerous because people are not used to such vehicles on the road.
Andi was lucky and unlucky at the same time. The physical injuries from the accident healed relatively fast, but the psychological trauma inflicted was severe.<\/p>\n

The uncertainty how and whether he will emanate from this deep hit made him struggle. Would he be able at all to pick up his career as an athlete again. The self-doubts didn’t make it any easier to escape the vicious downstream.<\/p>\n
