Chris has overcome his disappointment about the race and is ready to fight back next year.
»I did not get the title I so dearly wanted but to come up so close I can only be happy. I was beaten by the better athlete on this day, but do not go home overly disappointed as I can take strength from the fact that I pushed a World Champion to a personal best Swim bike and Run for him to actually beat me in the Worlds biggest race. This is the best Norman Stadler has ever gone and to be only 1 minute behind is encouraging«.
»I can say I am happy with the response I received from Faris and no longer have any issues or grudges against this guy. As he says, he was “frustrated with the 7 metre rule and took this frustration out in the wrong way.” Norman Stadler on the other hand has fuelled my belly to train for the next 12 months again and I look forward to racing the champ at every possibility I can next year. I want to get in his face and silence his complete arrogance and classless remarks with actions. I had no issues with Stadler before ( we were not friends but had a solid rivalry) but I have a real problem with the guy now. His is a “simple” guy and his remarks post race show this. I would like to thank him for giving me the fire and motivation for next season and I look forward to racing him soon. I will say he was the best athlete in the race on the weekend and was a deserving winnner. These actions alone dont make you a champion, and as we all heard he pissed off more than just me with his actions post race.«
