After almost 25 years BIESTMILCH 2.0 is creeping into our product portfolio. The first candidate to change is our unique BIEST BOOSTER. The binder maltodextrin Emdex® has been replaced by oligo-fructose.
As both Biestmilch and oligo-fructose are very powdery, it was no longer possible to squeeze the substances into a tablet. The 4 grams of Biestmilch and the guarana were a must for us. The two had to stay in order to guarantee the effect:
In a nutshell:
Oligo-fructose is a prebiotic, is not absorbed by the intestine and is therefore available to our intestinal flora as food.
Oligo-fructose is quite simply a dietary fibre. It tastes slightly sweet, which is why the BIEST BOOSTER no longer needs sweeteners.
Why oligofructose & what it is
Oligofructose is a soluble prebiotic fibre and is used in a variety of applications for the production of sugar-reduced and fibre-enriched products.
Oligofructose is obtained from beet sugar using a unique enzymatic process.
We have decided to replace maltodextrin (Emdex®) with oligofructose to reduce carbohydrates and calories and also to remove sugar from the product.
