Yesterday I got back into my role as Chris‘ chaperone 😉 and accompanied him to the press conference in the Intercontinental Hotel in Frankfurt. A lot of people have been there, and so, the organizers were extremely happy about the attention they got. Terenzo Bozzone, triahtlon youngster and future hope, Faris al Sultan, Eneko Llanos, last year’s second, Timo Bracht, German’s hope for the win this year and, of course, old star Chris Mccormack, Nicole Leder, Sandra Wallenhorst and Yvonne van Vlerken from the women’s field have been present.
Everybody is expecting a tough men’s race, and the press is pushing a neck and neck race between Sandra and Yvonne. I am wondering whether things will develop in this way or whether our dear Nicole with her flying leg is going to surprise everybody. Chris is cool, relaxed, in super form, and very self-confident. Nothing more to say, we have to wait and see.
