Ironman 70.3, Galveston, Texas, Clip 01
After 11 ours on the plane, a 2 hours drive from Houston to Galveston, we jumped into the job right away. First following Ronnie and Terenzo on an easy bike ride. There was enough time for them for chit-chat. After that we met at the pool on the campus of Galveston.
Still in parts this place remained devastated from Katrina back in 2004. It is place for tourists as we know it from Spain and Italy. Along the coastline are crouching hotels, bars and take-away places. Only the small old down-town area got its charm.
Back to our athletes. For dinner T brought us to an excellent food place, organic all the way through. We had fun, some good laughs in a really relaxed atmosphere the race still being 4 days away.
