If you have some leisure time on the weekend, take some of it to listen to this presentation of Dick Hardt. It is not only astounding because of its eloquence and velocity skills, 243 in 15 min., but it also deals with a very critical issue of the 21st century »identity«. A term, I think that is about to change dramatically. This is in part due to the way we are intertwined with each other by the means of modern communication technologies.
Is there something like an old and a new identity, or do we have to question this middle-class term rooted in humanism and bourgeoisie as such?
