We had spent the whole morning in our Biestmilch store, when Klaus and Armin, the guys from the German triathlon magazine “Tritime” passed by with two of Macca‘s book in their hands. They came to see me and asked me to get the 2 books signed by Chris.
Okay, no problem I said. I knew of the book signing at the expo, and there the idea was born. We went there, Kjell, Fritz and I, to catch Chris by surprise and ask him to sign the books for me. It was the first time ever that I was waiting for an autograph of somebody. I had to wait more than 30 minutes for the champ to come. Slightly impatient I hided behind the crowd.
