Kona 2011 memories
There is not much leisure time for our tiny crew during the 3 weeks we spends in Kona every year. This may sound strange to you and some of you may not even believe us or others may envy us for the privilege of being on Big island every year.
Last year we picked one early morning off to drive to Captain Cook, one of our favorite places on the Island. It was great fun. We rented 2 kayaks. Mark and Fritz fell over board right away at the beginning of our trip when they tried to enter the boat. Later Fritz’s white shirt drowned. It found peace deep down on the ground of the sea thousands of meters below sea level. Slowly slowly it sank and then disappeared for ever. We were not able to catch the shirt, alike we were not able to catch any fish 😉
We were laughing so hard, we almost couldn’t stop. It was a wonderful day, to feel the water, the hot sun, some dolphins were passing by saying hello. This was really touching, the memories are still so vivid. Recalling these hours is wrapping me in nostalgia.
Actually, you can envy us!
