The Ironman European Championship in Frankfurt has been a hard race for the top pro men. Biest athlete Chris had a bad swim, he had lost 3 minutes, therefore the whole race has been about catching up.
On the run Chris took off to catch up 3:10 minutes after one hour run. His speed was just incredible. He had to pay the price for speeding up so early. But as he said, you have to take the chance, if you want to win. 8K before the finishline he blew up. So, the die was cast. He came in third, behind Timo Bracht and Eneko LLanos.
