Our “courtesy limousine” picked up Chris from Haikou Airport yesterday. First action I took was to borrow him my Hawaiian sweater. T-shirt and shorts have been definitely too cold for the day.
Today we tried to meet Chris and Nicole at the swim start. We were unlucky, our communication skills with the Chinese locals were not good enough to reach our goal. We had to walk far out of the city and were not fast enough to catch the guys. So we met at the breakfast table finally and followed both through the preface rituals.
