Biestmilch proudly announces that Chris McCormack is going to race IRONMAN Germany, European championship on the 4th of July in Frankfurt.
Chris and Biestmilch are working together since 2003. Our relation became very close over all these years. Today we are friends, we traveled around the world together last year, kicked off our video clip series “moments of life” which ongoing until today.
Honestly, I never involved myself in Chris’ racing schedule. And it never occurred to me that Biestmilch could be the company bringing Chris to here. The whole half year 2010 had taken a totally different course. No doubt, that we have been sad, that Chris was not going to race in Frankfurt. All our planning for the European racing season therefore was made more or less without him. But then it happened that Kai Walter, CEO of xdream, organizer of IRONMAN Germany approached Chris. It happened that Chris told me about it in one of the skype calls we have on a regular basis. Negotiations with Frankfurt had almost failed at this time. But as all parties (the Frankfurt event organizers, Chris and Biestmilch) wanted achieve the same goal, we talked about how we could make it happen.
A second round of negotiations started and all parties finally agreed …now we are happy to announce … 😉
To cut a long story short: Chris McCormack is coming to Europe next week,
Can’t wait to see Macca racing against Cameron Brown, who’s just coming off his 9th NZIM win. Germany is always a great race !!
