Before we begin our video series around Ironman Germany, we start a small series on recovery. We asked Yvonne van Vlerken, what she does to recover from a strenuous race like the one in Frankfurt on the weekend.
1. What is your regeneration like after a big race?
In general I just enjoy a couple of days of just living into the day and doing whatever I feel like. All without a training plan. A little riding my bike and enjoying the scenery of Vorarlberg. A great alternative to that is a relaxing swim in one of our lakes around here followed by a little sunbathing session at the lake’s shore. All efforts are very easy an relaxed and if there is a day on which I feel like not doing anything at all
