With Ronnie’s 5th win of Ironman Switzerland we open our Swiss video series. Ronnie seems to be always cool, if you see him from a certain distance. But deep inside he was fairly nervous before this race. Everybody looked at him saying, “you will win this race.” He said in his modest way of being. Of course, I want to win this race, but I have to do the job first, and it’s still a hard job, even, if I have been racing here successfully for so many years.”
Macca encouraged Ronnie a lot and in his typical “Maccainian” way, he said, the others fear you, mate, you won this race 4 times, so believe me, you shouldn’t worry so much!”
And so did Ronnie. It was a perfect race, very controlled with a great marathon at the end. Congrats Ronnie, enjoy the days off now!
