I just read a post from Andy, Andy Wibbles http://andywibbels.com/, the person who gave me the final impusle to start our small business blog. This post http://andywibbels.com/post/1198 touched me because I agree 100% with Andy. On the other hand, I experience every other day how difficult it can be for an understaffed small business to meet ones own expectations.
For me customer services have first priority. It is hard again and again to realize that you cannot always achieve your goals in this respect.
Just recently we have launched a new internet shop. And what happened? We ran into a lot of problems that annoyed and still annoy our loyal customers and deter new customers. And the worst, it happened and I can only do very little to correct the mistakes. Those who turned their backs on us, are lost for us, most likely for ever.
It is a painful experience to overreach oneself by not taking into consideration the restraints of ones specific reality that puts limits to ones dreams and visions. It is very simple, there are dreams but reality beats them. Even I should realize this, finally ;-).
