Cube waking up from a long winter sleep

Rehearsal for the Vienna City Marathon: The build up with a dream team!

A little story in pictures

My beloved Cube which is with us now since 10 years was deeply asleep since 2017 when it was unfolding its beauty for the last time on the lava fields of the Big Island of Hawaii. My broken ankle in 2018 and then the following lockdown, everybody is familiar with, made it impossible for it to sneak out of its hide-away.

Dragi and Arne a little bit helpless…
Dear Gerry in action. Without his skills we would have been lost.
A man, who knows what he is doing!

It is amazing, and nobody of us expected it, that the marathon in Vienna will take place in September, but what a miracle round about 25.000 passionate runners are going to run on September 12 here in my neighborhood of the Vienna Prater.

The base is laid 🙂
The most difficult part is done…

On the two days of the sports exhibition before the run the BIESTMILCH team will be present in the real life again, first time since February 2020. The Cube will thrive in all its beauty finally again. But this needed some practice for me to assemble all the bits and pieces. Especially because of the fact that the fragile cover got a new inner life, another metal structure.
Today was training day. The sole reason I succeeded to get this job done, was due to my unbelievable team.

The CUBE finally resurrected…

My neighbors from upstairs joined Arne and my beloved girlfriend Dragica. Without even asking they started hands-on to support us.The Cube has a side-length of 2.50 meters, quite a challenge for three persons only to get it in an upright position without shredding the fragile veil coating it at the end.

We made it and it was so much fun, exceptional in times of the lockdown trauma we all carry in us up to a certain extent.

Martin always prepared to give good advices 😉 …

Thanks to my marvelous team Gerry, Martin, Lisa, Sabine and last but not least Dragi and Arne.
And hopefully we have lots of visitors on September 10 to 11, 2021. Looking forward to seeing you guys!!!

Susann is the biest prototype and head of the team. She is Austrian, has studied medicine, meaning she is a medical doctor and the Biesters' alpha wolf. Susann continuously produces new ideas, is strong in making concepts and is practically always ON FIRE. Without her BIESTMILCH wouldn't be where and what it is today, and anyway - not possible.
